The Canon's new mirrorless PowerShot G1 X feels a lot like older G-series cameras, such as the PowerShot G12, but the difference lies in its performance.

The G1 X features a 14.3 Mp CMOS sensor, in contrast to the G12's 10 Mp's. This is the largest sensor to be used in a G-series Canon camera. It also sports the latest Canon image processing technology to increase speed, power, and sensitivity in low light.
