The Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II Tilt-Shift Lens offers enhanced functionality and image quality in its most popular tilt-shift focal length. Designed with UD glass to minimize and compensate for chromatic aberrations and specially coated aspherical elements for the highest possible glare-free image quality, this lens has an enhanced range of movement of up to +/- 8.5°. It also has revolving construction for both portrait and landscape shooting modes.Boasting a massive front element allowing ample light in and the selective focus you get with the tilt and shift function will aid in shooting landscape, studio, tabletop and architecture with magnificent control. This lens is particularly useful when constructing panoramas to correct perspective problems or when shooting tall lines of a building which appear to merge at the upper floors. Both tilt and shift can be engaged singly and in combination. The tilt-shift rotation mechanism locks at right angle and at parallel and clicks at 45º and the lens mount itself can rotate left or right by 90º with click-stop adjustment each 30º. This tilt-shift also uses a circular aperture for beautiful out-of-focus areas. You can also use this lens without tilting or shifting as a normal wide angle. You can also use the tilting and shifting "incorrectly" for a miniature effect. It works hand-held but for the most precise results this lens works best on a tripod. Ideally the movements need to be done very carefully for the best results.
