Cool Stuff

Welcome to Cool Stuff, a recurring feature where we post our favorite links, including our favorite articles and how-tos, videos, images and more.

Cool Stuff articles are culled from BLFlip, the official Flipboard Magazine of BorrowLenses.com. If you’ve got an iOS or Android device, you can download the Flipboard app for free now.

  • Half of a motion project is audio (and many say it’s the more important half). The folks at LightsFilmSchool.com have a nice tutorial on capturing sound in a single system (like a DSLR).
  • Speaking of filmmaking, here’s something from Lucasfilm that kinda blew our minds. Is this the future of filmmaking?
  • Gregory Heisler is one of our favorite photographers, and over at strobist.com, contributor Sara Lando has a three-part series going on about her time assisting him in Dubai. Part one is here, and part two can be found here.
  • And finally, here’s something else that blew our minds. Remember – this is a live performance, captured entirely in-camera.
