Featuring Your Best: Road Trips

Photographers

Last week we called for your best photo that exemplifies the mood of being on a road trip to showcase in today’s “Featuring Your Best”. We pinned the results from the pinnable links posted on our Facebook, Twitter, and G+ pages. These photos made us long to hit the road but, first, we’d like to showcase 3 in particular that really captured the spirit of being on-the-move.

I try not to compromise the gear I take on the road. I’ve found that when I travel, I want to capture the best image I can and that means using my 1DMkII and an L lens. I would kick myself if I happened upon a glorious view and all I had was my little Olympus Stylus or my Galaxy II phone. They are better than nothing, but I don’t want to plan to capture images with mediocre equipment. The only time the Olympus is the choice is if I’m going to be in water and the phone is only used when a snapshot is all that is needed.
