Roger: I've used Canon full frame cameras int he past, and I was eagerly looking forward to trying this. It seems like it'd be a great body. The ISO settings are just amazing, and I loved the live view grid. That's no on the 5D Mk II. The only thing that surprised me when I rented this was that it didn't use CF cards. If you're OK with that, go for it. I'll be trying the 5D Mk III next. I haven't made up my mind just yet.

William: I rented this item for the purpose of trying a Canon full-frame camera prior to making a buying decision. I added a Canon 24-105mm f/4 L IS and a Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens to the basic body rental. I have been using Olympus DSLRs since May 2008. My interest in upgrading to Canon has to do with wanting improved low-light performance, higher ISO capabilities, improved image quality (IQ) and a wider range of lens choices. I was very satisfied with my experience with the 6D. I will probably not buy the 24-105mm f/4 L for my walking around lens. It takes very acceptable images but is a little softer at 100% than I expected. Picture IQ with the 50mm f/1.8 was very sharp but it hunted a lot while in the AF mode. However it is very easy to manual focus. My experience with BorrowLenses.com was A-1. I may well buy the 6D but am also considering the 5D MkIII. Bottom line, the 6D is easy to use, very intuitive even for an Olympus user to get excellent results with right away. I also found a user's manual for it online in .pdf format and was able to link to it via my IPhone anytime I had a question.
